First of all, hello, secondly, I felt like experimenting and adding some variety (plus the fact I'm fucking bored on a Sunday night).
So, this is my attempt at fantasy booking after giving my friend my take on how something could be done, I thought that was quite fun, and why not add some more content to this here gimmick called a blog? I doubt these will come out on a scheduled basis, but if there is enough demand or I have another idea, I will post it here for all you lovely people with your cute smiles and I like how you've done your hair today, looking sharp.
The storyline in question here was inspired by a friend, big ups to my man Louis, and I got a bit too invested maybe. So, without further ado, here is 'Zack Ryder and the WWE World Heavyweight Championship' AKA 'Who is your Zack Daddy, and what does he do?'
We begin in the not too distant future, maybe next month, definitely after Payback.
Triple H and Stephanie McMahon return to Monday Night RAW following their absence since WrestleMania 32. Although technically still in charge, Shane is still a prominent figure on WWE programming due to Vince perhaps seeing how well Shane is doing and gaining some fatherly pride in his son. Trips and Steph vow to undo all that Shane has changed since they've been away licking their wounds. And what was literally the first thing that happened on Shane's first RAW in charge? Zack Ryder losing the Intercontinental Championship to The Miz.

Zack Ryder losing the Intercontinental Championship to The Miz.
The Authority book the rematch for that night on RAW. The match is fairly even contested, but towards the end The Authority crony The Big Show run-ins and costs Miz the title. Zack at this point is not too sure what to think but goes along with it, celebrating his title win. Miz gets his rematch the next week on RAW, the same happens again, this time The Authority's newly recruited Dash & Dawson distract The Miz, allowing Zack to retain his title. We do run the risk of turning The Miz face here, but he can act as so big of a bellend he'll remain heel.
Now Zack realises that with The Authority backing him, he can achieve all he's ever wanted in the WWE. Now, in The Authority we have Triple H, Stephanie, Big Show, Dash & Dawson, Zack and seeking revenge on Shane after not being granted his IC Title rematch and as he thinks 'screwed' out of World Title opportunities: Kevin Owens, who Trips and Steph are pushing as their top guy and is still feuding with Zayn at the minute and probably will be for the rest of their lives at this rate.
Leading up to Money in the Bank, Zack has kept hold of his IC Championship with the help of The Authority, we can have him turn on Mojo Rawley, his Hype Bros partner, after he is called up in some sort of demonstration of allegiance to The Authority. He's been beating those Shane has been favouring; Cesaro, Ambrose, Crews and the like. Money in the Bank arrives and the ladder match is Zack Ryder vs Kevin Owens vs Sami Zayn vs Dean Ambrose vs Baron Corbin vs Big Show with The Authority's plans to have Zack and Show protecting Owens and helping him win. In the match Zayn has taken out Owens, Big Show's down somewhere and it comes down to Zack on top of the ladder, grabbing the briefcase and standing tall, reminiscent of WrestleMania.
Zack Ryder is now Mr. Money in the Bank, animosity has been multiplied between Zack and Kevin. Owens demands that Ryder forfeit the contract to him, but Trips and Steph refuse, saying that Ryder is a good insurance policy should Kevin fail in his pursuits to win the World Title. This tension rises with the two 'accidentally' costing each other matches on RAW and SmackDown! At SummerSlam it is scheduled to be Zack Ryder vs Apollo Crews for the Intercontinental Championship, Triple H vs Shane McMahon in a grudge match, Kevin Owens vs Sami Zayn and Seth Rollins (returning here as a face) vs Roman Reigns for the World Championship.
On the night, Zack loses the title to Crews with no-one helping Zack this time, Shane/Trips is ruled a no-contest after they've both fucked each other up into oblivion, Kevin Owens beating Zayn thanks to interference and Rollins taking the title from Reigns. The next night on RAW we have a confrontation between Zack and Triple H, Zack furious as to why no one came to help in his match. Triple H replies that they figured Owens had more stock going for him and that they needed everyone focused on that. So now we've got a rift starting to form between Zack and The Authority and even moreso with Kevin Owens.
For the next couple of months we see Zack being mistreated, sometimes punished by having to face Dash & Dawson in handicap matches, but he still remains with The Authority, being emotionally manipulated by Stephanie and Triple H to stay and threats of being fired and other (blue) meany things. Meanwhile Owens is targeting Rollins and the world title heavily now. He fails to win a couple of times as we progress towards Survivor Series. The Triple H/Shane McMahon feud is reaching it's climax, with the end in sight as we have control of Monday Night RAW up for grabs in the traditional 5 vs 5 elimination tag team match. In the build up, Triple H has berated Zack and tells him he is a liability/not good enough to be called upon to help him against Shane and is left out of the 5 vs 5.
Survivor Series arrives and we have Team Authority (Triple H, Big Show, Dash & Dawson and Chris Jericho) vs Team Shane (Shane McMahon, Cesaro, Apollo Crews, Dean Ambrose and Sami Zayn) and in the main event Kevin Owens challenging Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
The 5 vs 5 ends up with Team Shane defeating Team Authority and Owens defeats Rollins, winning the title. But, Owens is hurt, and with The Authority without power to restrict or threaten him, Zack Ryder charges down the ramp. He hands the referee the briefcase he had won all those months ago, the bell rings, Rough Ryder and the 1-2-3 is slapped on the canvas.
Zack Ryder is WWE Champion, the confetti rains, Zack's dad jumps the barricade and hugs his son, Ryder climbs the turnbuckle for an almighty fist pump 'Woo Woo Woo'.
There ya have it dear readers, my take on how to propel Zack Ryder to world champion. Lemme know if you liked this and want some more down the road. Thanks for reading.
