Hey readers! This is something a little (by that I mean pretty damn significantly) different. I'm sure that if you're a series regular or the like, you'll know I'm a big ol' fan of Kevin Owens. I was ecstatic when he won the WWE Universal Championship, and I've been toying around with doing something like this before. So, without further ado, I welcome you to this 'BWOTW: Special'. I hope you enjoy.
A broken friend and a statement made,
Everybody now knew his name.
No intro needed,
No questions asked,
No mercy shown for his friend once masked.
An ascent to the top like none had seen,
All for the title he so needs,
Devoted to his prizefighter's creed.
Sami stood vigilant,
Sami stood tall,
Sami crashed down to the mat with a fall.
Over and over, down to the floor,
One powerbomb, two, three, four
'Til the ref ruled 'No more, no more!'
One man destroyed,
One title claimed,
One reign of terror about to be made.
Alone in the ring stood the ultimate hero,
Offering a shot at his prized gold,
Who this next man was, he need not be told.
The hero fought for justice,
The hero fought for order,
The hero fell hard, just like the other.
Then came The Demon,
Adorned in colour,
Unrecognisable to the man called Balor.
Two times they battled,
Two times through hell,
Two times The Demon rang the last bell.
Undeterred, he moved on next
to fight a Big Guy, a mountain of a man,
But he approached the bout with a devious plan.
A thumb to the eye,
A deed done unashamed,
Another championship the fighter had claimed.
Next came a lunatic,
Deranged and insane,
He left the fighter prize-less and in pain.
The fighter took on twenty-nine men,
The fighter took out The Phenomenal One,
The fighter took back his title and ruined the loon's fun.
A blaring of horns signalled his return,
Down came Zayn and they brawled with hate,
These two, forever, bound by fate.
Then came the steel,
Then came the ladders,
Then the roars of the hundred thousand.
At his biggest stage yet,
The fighter looked over the sea of fans,
Then turned his attention to the task at hand.
A storied rival, a show-off,
A hyped bro, a luchador,
And an intergalactic emperor.
The title came down,
But not to the fighter,
His shoulder now lay a few pounds lighter.
Zayn was his focus, the one he blamed,
Zayn was his target, always and forever,
Zayn was his opponent, a tie he needed sever,
One more time, they did this dance,
On the battleground where they faced each other,
Braking themselves to brake one another.
Fighting for pride,
Fighting with gall,
Fighting to end it once and for all.
He left the devastation,
Bloodied and bruised,
Not expecting to find that he would lose.
Another prize caught the fighter's eye,
Another belt with leather of red,
Another chance to choke them with the words they'd said.
In one corner, an architect striving to reclaim,
Opposite a giant reaching seven feet high,
And a black clad warrior who thought he was The Guy.
Who would go first?
Who would be winning?
Who could have seen what was coming?
The giant fell and the king of kings returned,
Taking out the biggest dog in the fight,
Then betraying the prodigy to surprise us that night.
The ref counted one,
The ref counted two,
The ref counted three and off the roof blew.
Shocked and stunned, he snatched the belt,
In awe to witness the end of his plight,
The chants thundered down; FIGHT, OWENS, FIGHT!
FIGHT, OWENS, FIGHT
FIGHT, OWENS, FIGHT
FIGHT, OWENS, FIGHT.
Thank you. Should I do more? Let me know.
